As with the property market in general most letting or estate agents are generally quiet in between Christmas and New Year with many potential buyers not coming back into the market until January starts. For us this is the same and it was actually a great opportunity to get around all the properties in our portfolio, clear off any niggly maintenance items and get the rooms we have available properly ready again to rent out. This included redecorating, new carpets, refurbishing a whole house, putting in new furniture, changing lights, cleaning, and many other things.
